(no subject)

Brought to you by a stroke of wistful musing (and a heaping dose of boredom) I have complied a list. What is this list you might say? Well, it is a list of what I believe to be THE most powerful, or more specifically, most OVER POWERED characters of all the fandoms I know, or can think of for the time being. Though for such a list to be created there are some definite things that need to be set straight for it to even be possible. For one thing, you will always have those fandoms that have a dozen or so nearly equally op characters that all fight each other head on. That being said ,for this list:

Rule #1 One character per fandom. Which may seem unfair, seeing as some fandom might have a lot of varaity or powers, but just think about it. One of those characters has to be more powerful than the rest, right? Then that character will represent that fandom on the list.We can't have half a dozen characters from taking up the first ten slots on the list. A good example would be Fate/Stay Night or Wheel of Time. Where everyone is insane. Though if you have two fandoms that have linked universes but very different characters, that is acceptable.

Rule #2, NO GODS or anything of equivilance. No "Demon Lords" that fight gods, no omnipitant beings that can delete the world with a thought. Nothing of the likes. People who are technically immortal might be one thing, but there is a limit. People that were excluded from the list for this reason, as an example, would be Q from Star Trek, Apocalypse from Xmen, and the Emperor from Warhammer. They're just too much. Basically if the characters could beat someone from DBZ they're too much. Oh, and on that note-

Rule #3 DBZ. NO.

Rule # 4 isn't really a rule per say. It's more of a guideline. The characters have to either be humanoid or have a humanoid form. And sentient. This rule excluded things like Sin from Final Fantasy X and other boss worthy beasties.

And here is the list: )

  1.

I'm interested in hearing what you think of the list, any arguments against my placing or perhaps a few characters to add to the list?

You know what's worse then having a bunch of people you care about talking bad about you behind your back and to your face?

When you start to realize that everything they're saying about you is true.

At least some people are having a good day. I'm really glad to hear that.

TRANSFAVORITES MEME

Answer these questions for any and/or all of your favorite Transformers Universes.

-

1.) What is your favorite Transformers universe?

I only know Animated and the movie. And they both rocked. Do I have to choose? =( Fine, TFA because it has Teen Titans art. That's right, you heard me.

2.) Which side [Autobots l Decepticons]  do you favor/prefer?

Hrm... I've thought about that a lot. I'd actually have a neutral character if possible. But if I had to be designed by one side it would be Autobots. Just for the blue eyes.

3.) Who is your favorite Autobot?

Jetfire and Jetstorm. And yes I picked two. They share the same sooouuuulll~

4.) Who is your favorite Decepticon?

Cyclonus. Because everyone knows that Lawful Evil kicks ass.

5.) If any, who is your favorite human?

Hmmm. I don't... have a favorite human. Usually in a fandom based around robots, no one really puts any real depth into the human characters. Mikaela Banes. >> We all know that's what she's there for.

6.) What Transformers episode (from any/all universes) is your favorite?

Episode 26: Black Friday. Because Grimlock follow you. But he do it ALLOOOOONE!

7.) From your favorite universe, what's one thing you would change, if you could?

A Jetfire, Jetstorm-centric episode. They had very little air time.

8.) Do you have a favorite pairing?
Black Arachnia X Dino Bots. Yes all of them.

9.) If you were a Transformer...

·                     Which side would you be on?
Neutral aligned hopefully but Autobot origins. Would try to work relief efforts for both sides but would have empathy for Optimus's crew or generally good-willing bots like them.

·                     What would you Transform into? Why?
A Cybertronian ship, medium size. If lets say, Jetstorm and Jetfire are considered a light ship and Omega Supreme is a heavy. I wouldn't be fast and I wouldn't be a tanker but I'd be a happy medium. Instead of fast pace interceptors like the Jet twins or Starscream and the seekers that contantly move forward, I would also have the ability to hover allowing me to hold position or fire while stationary as well as while strafing. And inspired by this picture, I would have an observation mini-bot. My alt form, while geared for light combat, would be flexible in it's uses.

·                     What would your Designation (name) be? Why?
Epsilon.

·                     What would be your expertise?
Scouting. Flexible Jack-of-all-trades role fuffilment.

·                     Who would you get along with? Why?
Hrm. I can only really go along with TFA.  Jet-twins, fellow air-bots.  Prowl, fellow tactical soldier and he's just wicked awesome. And because of his neutral leanings I'd hope that he could get on the good side of a couple decepticons. Well... maybe not good. But... just to the point where they try to kill eachother on sight just a little less.
So, Cyclonus,  his code of honor and they'd see eachother as worthy adversaries. And any other Decepticon that may not kill him on sight.

·                     Who would you NOT get along with? Why?
Lugnut. For his blind, unquestioning loyalty without regards to reason. Sentinel Prime and any other bots like him as well as the high command for their hypocritical morality.

10.) If you were transported into your favorite TF-universe, who would you want to partner-up with and why?

Hmm. Maybe Optimus. Because he's actually a good Autobot Leader. Maybe Black Arachnia, just because of the 'Autobot?' 'Eh, not really. Decepticon?' 'Not so much.'

11.) Who is the better leader, Optimus or Megatron (or neither)?

I value the world that would be created should Optimus become the Magnus. As cool as Megatron is... Serioiusly. Could you imagine the life you'd have if you weren't a decepticon?

12.) Is there such a thing as gender and/or orientation for Cybertronians? Elaborate...

Ehhhhh. Obviously there are bots that are designed to act and look like a certain gender for whatever purpose their creators had in mind. Self imagry probably. But you have to consider what defines a gender which I won't get into. ;3 Especially when you try to link that to robot "psychology". As for Orientation? Fandom or canon? XD Kidding. Sure. Orientation could exist, why not? Unless there was some sort of programming that made it not possible. But that's not really likely.

13.) Following #12, is there such a thing, then, as "gay robots"?

Well while that is a curious thought. What about all the other paths of sexuality a robot with a gender could follow? Do they have necrophiliacs? What about if they have "sex" with a non-sentient robot? Is that like bestiality for them? Not to mention, in ANY species of sentient creature where the population was 95% male (going off of shown bots) sure there's going to be some male luv. Eh, why is is such a big deal? I'd go on but the question is very specific.

14.) What is your opinion on Femmes?

What is the canon opinon of femmes? Do they ever go into that? I mean, ignoring their behavior in G1 (which everyone loves to do) What do we actually get to see of Femmes? As far as I can tell they're EITHER a minority in the robot world that is used carelessly as boarderline cannon-fodder and treated with less rights then their vastly outnumbering male counterparts or, not to differently, they AGAIN have almost no rights and instead equal the number of male bots but instead stay at home, cooking and cleaning and doing all the jobs a good little femme-bot should be doing never making any real appearences in the important workings of the fandom. Aside from the few that do get into Autobot upper society and military to get abused and suffer terribly before living out what's left of their sad and shattered lives.

And I don't even want to get into fandom's... "interpritation" of Femmes. Much like any other fandom it's basically 'Slash slash slash. Femmes? Get dem' bitchez out da' way, dey is c**k-blockin' my robot dudez with things like... canon relationships and... statistically correct orientation ratios and..................... just......... HETEROSEXUALITYFAIL' It's sad when people are sexist against their own gender.

15.) Which Transformers-comic series is the best (Marvel, Dreamweaver, etc...)?

I dun read the comics 8D

16.) Besides Marvel (it's already been done), what crossover with Transformers would you like to see?
Transformers x Star Wars. IT COULD HAPPEN!!! MORE THAN YOU KNOOOOOOW! Just look at the time frames. Nuff said.

OMFG!!!

Think on THIS one

A long time ago, in a Galaxy far far away.... The Decepticons were the original Sith.   THINK ABOUT IT! It makes SENSE! AAAALLLLL SPAAAAAARRRRRK! *raves*

Writer's Block: Place of Residence

Describe your dream house (even if it's not a house).

View 503 Answers

My perfect place would be somewhere with a tasteful distance from civilization. So if nothing else it's out of mind without being inconvenient. It wouldn't be huge but more cozy, yet spacy. If that's even possible. I mean, plenty of room to move around and feel open without it being huge. It would have two stories and maybe a basement because everyone knows, basement are awesome. Dunno what I'd do with it. But I want one. Anyways, the house would have to have lots of windows so I could live more on natural lighting. It would save on bills as well as add to a serene quality I'd want. The house would be on a raised slope and on one side of the house there would be a large deck overlooking some vast natural expanse like a bay/ocean or the top of a forest. Something where the view is damn near awe inspiring, Something where I could lounge and relax and the let the natural beauty clense my troubled mind. The top floor would be the living area and most of it would be the kitchen and the living room split almost down the middle by a counter that stretched halfway from the wall opposite the deck to the center of the room with swivle stools lined up alongside it for easy food serving. The living room half would consist of a tv in the far corner with a couch angled to face it, a small dining table for company when the counter was not in use an computer desk. Down the hall from the kitchen would be my main room with a private bathroom.

Downstairs would be a guest... uh. House thing. Like, it would be guest house with a smaller living room but more bedrooms for when I have guests over. For partehs or what not or if I have people renting out or just plain living with me.

The style of the house would be very modern and cutting edge with a curvoliner, industrial flair but offset by comfortable furniture and carpeting. Yeah yeah I know, inner designer trying to burst through. I see white furniture and carpeting and silver appliances like refridgerator and sinks.

Hmm, not sure what other fact are important enough to mention cause I just don't know what I missed. But if we really wanted to get deep into what I really want, ignoring the fantasticness of it, I would want my house to be one of those smart houses like S.A.R.A from Eureka. If you don't know what I mean, think a house run by something like the ships A.I. from Star Trek.

It's mah dream house. X3

Next installment

Here is the next chunk of my story. While I think taking the advice that I should stick to about 2k words a post is a very good standard, it unfortunately breaks up my story in sections which contain the endings and beginnings of a chapter/section break. So some of my cliff hangers aren't quite as effective. X3 But alas, as long as I'm posting.

Well hai all! ...And a story

Hi! Been a while. =3 Lost my security job at Target recently and have been looking for a place around the Northgate area. I'm really excited about moving out but I need to find a job in that area first to finance the move. It's a bit daunting but I'll be moving closer to my friends [info]vani_nessa , [info]yeaomi , and [info]ironical_kai  (who recently called me a competent game, huzzah!) Strangely a very nice compliment.

Anyways, the main reason I'm posting is to inform whoever creeps my journal I'm going to begin posting sections of my story here and I accept and appreciate open criticism. However my story's beginning is, as I've been told, is a little slow. I had absolutely no idea how to start the story and I took the advice I should just start writing whatever I felt like writing and thus the story started. No title yet. =/

I've been told it's one of those addicting stories you don't want to put down. And only on the second chapter. Though my chapters run about 10k words.  Anywhere here is the first tid-bit. Hope you enjoy!

Copious amounts of fun to be had. )

So, there's this new anime convention forming. It's called Aki-con. First opening is tomorrow and this is the first year they've done it. And guess what? It's in Everett! Which for all of you that don't know, that's like a 10 min walk from my house!  I think people should add it into their yearly conveskipades and try MAH city out. Noa has Seattle EVERETT IS MINE! XD I could host and stuff, as long as people didn't mind sleeping on da flo'. >> Or couch, seeing as, in theory, I could give it up. And then you could come see mah puppies! You know you want to. But seriously. At least some people should come over and du it.

La de da

I'm almost completely weened offa Livejournal now. I've just come to realize that my personal thoughts made public tends to hurt more people than it brings understanding of what I'm feeling.  So I've decided that I won't write my feelings on subjects anymore and try to adhere to plain observations and retelling of the facts of an event. I'm beginning to think I'm a terrible person with an out of control inner monologue. And no one really wants to hear those sorta things. =P But enough about that.

I just have a few extreme things happening in my life that I think are worth mentioning.

First and most mindboggling, I have no idea what to do about it or how to handle it, I think my art teacher is gay, almost certain of it, and I think he has it for me.        ...I'll let that soak in for a moment....      He is very complimentive off my work in class even though I'm quite aware that it's inferior quality and it seems he's just doing it to be nice. I mean, he's a great guy. He isn't being creepy about it and it's just friendly. And he was talking to me the other day about how he might be breaking up with his "partner" and then almost immediately afterwards asked me if I was single. Completely conversationally toned but still...

So that's all fun. The other extreme is I just got back from Blizzcon!!! Yay!

For all of those that don't know Blizzcon is hosted by Blizzard. My FAVORITE company and developer of games. They are the makers of the Warcraft 1-3 and World Of Warcraft. Starcraft 1 and 2 and Diablo 1-3. If you don't know what those games are or have never heard of Blizzard you're missing out on like... half my interests and really don't know that much about me. X/

It was good fun but I don't think I'll recap it. It was awesome to say the least. If you're interested I'll tell you all about it. =3

Another something something going on with me. As hard as I try, no matter what I can't keep my mind off what did happen (good parts of course) and what potentially could of happened in my old RP Silent Nexus. It was this amazing little cross fandom rp some good friend's and I were doing a while back and because of dissimilar tastes in moderation it eventually broke down. And for the life of me my mind keeps drifting back to it and the good times. The bad times could have been avoided in hindsite but it's nothing to dwell on. It's a dark ambition I've had for ages to start either it back up again or one extremely similar. And by that I mean I loved the cast of characters from that rp and same mechanics. It was so dark and confrontational yet extremely malable at the same time and that aspect left us with a lot of freedom and an allowence to be almost whimsical in nature while still making "sense".

I know this almost has no chance of returning but I'm getting to the point of obsessivly thinking about it. And it's quite sad. My friend Raven and I (I haven't talked to her in a while... that makes me sad) are frequently lulzing about situations similar to that with old characters we used to rp that we lament never got the chance to meet up. We very much angst over the possibilities.

So yeah, possible sadness yet to come but oh well. Um... I think there was something else....

OH YEAH! I'm a e-pack rat. I need to start cleaning the clutter from my computer. Nothing you want to hear about but one of the small thing that needs to be done is I need to clean up my contact lists on my messanges and my few emails. By this I mean I have several contacts that are virtually dead with people I either haven't spoken to in months and in a few cases a good year or two. And before anyone says that this is something mean and I'm being a bastard blah blah blah it isn't. I'm just tired of navigating a monsterous list of contacts when I just want to find one of my geek friends to talk about a comic or something dumb like that. The effort isn't worth it. So again I say, nothing personal but if I haven't talked to you in about a month... no, lets make it two months, you'll probably be taken off my contact list. You won't be blocked and it's not like I won't talk to you should you IM/email me first it's just... IM especially in a convinent way to quickly speak to someone and I shouldn't have to work for it. Plus, if you haven't been active on my friends list for 1-2 months, chances are you aren't using IM that much anyways or I'm blocked. =P Either way, the contact is pointless. I'm even debating deleting my birth mother from my contact list because she hasn't been on Msn in about 6 months now. So when I say it's not personal, trust me.

*long sigh*

I had the weekend off from Friday to Sunday and I decided that I had too much I need to catch up on to sit and play games. I made a mental list of activities I've put off and thought about which I could get done with the free time I had. I came to the conclusion that I really needed to catch up on two Series that I had set aside. Both came highly recommended by a couple of my closest friends. But I haven't gotten to them till now because I know as soon as I pick something up that I wind up liking, I can't put it down till I've finished, all other responsibilities be damned. I don't intentionally want to be late for work or stay up really really late when I have to get up the next day. I just can't help but find out what happens next.

The two series that I put off till now were:

Elfen Lied-A 13 episode anime series about a young girl with horns who posses a special power called vectors, invisible hands that stretch out from her back that she can move at the speed of light, so it said and use it as a very effective weapon.  The anime immediately struck me nausiating and disturbing, not just in the violence it shot at me in droves, but the wonton way it seemed to go about it. And it had gratuitious amounts of gore and an unusual amount open nudity seemed severly over the top which, alongside the fact that the first episode didn't hook me at all with any discernable plot made me want to drop the series there and wash my hands of it. However, at my friend's behest I continued to watch the series because he desperately tried to convince me that it got better. And I know forming a conclusive opinion about something after only watching the first episode seems pretty hasty, but most people with less of a stomach then me wouldn't even get past the opening scene.

And I am pleased to admit that it did, in fact, get better. So much better. I'm not a gore-fiend so that was no way to grab my attention. But once I buckled down and watched a few episodes I was pulled in. The plot was driving and emotional and had wonderful characters, despite me being weirded out by some cousin crushing. =P As I got further and further into the series I found myself getting ever more worked up about what was happening. I won't say anymore than that because what really hit me was not knowing what was going to happen next. So I recommend picking this series up, or finding it online and watching it for free.

Now to be honest I did have some critiques, small to me but they could really destroy the series for you if you can't look past them. And you might be thinking the gore. Yes, this series is not for the faint of heart. It has more gore then even Hellsing, not to meniton not all the people who die are Nazi vampires or their supporters. The death toll isn't generally comprised of people who had it coming. Which was hard for me. But you come to find that the violence actually becomes a theme to describe the terribly violent emotional theme portrayed in this series.

Second, to a lesser effect and not nearly as noticable or damaging, I found that most of the people in the series tended to follow a set personality type. Like, it seemed the girls generally were pretty Mary Sue. Except when they were psychotic. And the men were either drunkards, or complete innocents. It's not that straight forward or as bad as I make it sound, but some characters just didn't have depth which was a stark contrast with others who were incredibly deep.

All in all, an amazing series. If you can handle it. It's the only show I've ever seen that has full nudity and someone being torn in half in the first 5 minutes.

And the second series I finally got to sit and finish was The Watchmen comic. I was gripped from the beginning of this graphic novel, immediately intrigued by a very unique 'Hero' who caught my attention because of his perspectives of the world and justice. Not to meniton his epic way of dress. The series takes place in the near future and is, to put it simply because I don't want to give much away, generally about Hero's as they would exist in our world. Not the flashy, stylish and sexy heros from Marvel or the Idealistic and magestic ones from DC. I'm talking actual people you could know, putting on a mask and walking out onto the street to stop a mugging. It's about their struggles, their unique perspectives, and how their life as a superhero impacts their life as a normal person. Unfortuantely they live in a time where vigilanties are outlawed and because of their desire to help people they have become persecuted. I may have said to much, but I implore you. Read this comic. The movie is coming up soon. Read it. Du it nao!

So, to people who have already seen or read these series, I hope I did a good job giving the feeling of the stories, at least from my perspective, and to those who have not, I hope I have convinced you to look them up, or at least built your interest up a bit.

After those two series I feel like I just took an emotional gut shot. Let me tell you, ending? Epic.
